Bill Murphy of C & M Precision Spindle goes through a step-by-step breakdown of the disassembly of a Bridgeport spindle, from the removal of the nose cap to replacing the bearings. He uses jouncing to take the spindle apart but has suggestions for other methods throughout the demonstration.
Also included are some helpful tips on re-inserting a set screw, matching bearings, and determining the top and bottom of angular contact bearings.
